Introduction to Oil Painting Classes-Weekend Workshops
This is a workshop for the absolute novice who knows nothing about oil painting. It is also
for experienced artists who work in another medium but wish to have foundational experience
in oils. The class includes: basics about paint handling, mediums, color, value, composition,
and technique. After doing a few painting exercises, each student will paint at least two
finished painting to take home. All material and supplies are included in beginning workshops,
but wear paint friendly clothes. We will take a short brake about half way, so bring a snack or
you can go to the bakery down the street. A supply and materials list will be given out for those
who wish to take the more comprehensive eight week Oil Painting Class. This is a fun, informative
and exciting workshop, and I am looking forward to see you there!
