I love this Australian artist. She plays in the same creative space I've occasionally explored. Now I'm inspired to return there. Some of her paintings are H-U-U-G-E.

Here is the finished painting:

Values are the lightness and darkness of a color. Here the color is stripped away and we only see value:

Complementary Colors are opposite each other on the color wheel. In this case blue and orange:

Color Saturation is how much color is in the color. Below the left square is highly saturated with orange. The square on the right is less saturated with orange. It is muted and dull:

Color Temperature.
On the inside of the orange, the orange square is WARM. The rind of the orange has COOL blue added to it to make a brown color.
