Oil Painting Classes As A Gift

I discourage anyone from giving a painting class as a gift to anyone unless the receiver of the gift already has painting experience, or has expressed repeatedly a strong desire to learn oil painting. I have learned from experience that it is unpleasant to teach a person who has no real interest in painting, and they are taking the class only out of a feeling of obligation to the gift giver. So please ask the person if they're eager to learn to paint before purchasing my class as a gift.
