Basic Drawing Supplies

This selection of supplies may not be complete for your needs. They are only the supplies I had on hand at the time of this posting.

You can also do the drawing exercises with a sheet or regular copy paper, and standard yellow pencil.


I do not have any further specifications than what I have stated below.

Chunky Charcoal, a round piece of charcoal that came in a clear plastic box.
Regular Charcoal Pencil 600H
2B Drawing pencil
Regular yellow HB2 Soft drawing pencils
F pencil, very hard lead
6B pencil, soft lead
Pure Willow artist vine charcoal
Eraser pencil
Mesh bag to hold supplies
Container to hold pencil shavings
Pencil Sharpener
Metal Eraser shield
Clip to hold paper to board
Prismacolor Art Gum or Magic Rub



Spray Fixative
Use a fixable spay if you want to keep your sketch from smearing. Also see Krylon spray:
