It was the beginning of summer when I wrote this song. I wanted to write a tune that felt like my experience of walking up Phinney Avenue in the sunshine, past all the houses and businesses. When most people walk down the street they seem to be in a hurry even when there is no place in particular to go. But I enjoy the practice of wandering. Wandering is a slower, easier pace and affords the opportunity to enjoy the immediate surrounding in and much deeper and intimate way.
